Pine Moth

Originally suspended between two pine trees this work by Simon Gilby was created in 2005 for the Piney Lakes sculpture walk.

Due to issues with the trees, the work was removed and in 2022. AS Perth reinstated it in the Piney Lakes Park for the City of Melville.

Two six-metre high poles were designed to carry the work, and installed in a way so as to maximise the sense of suspension and floating of the work.
