Keizo Ushio Sculpture

A granite sculpture gets a new plinth and is moved to a new site.

This work by Japanese Artist Keizo Ushio was purchased from Sculpture by the Sea in 2009 by the Perth Public Art Foundation.

We were contracted to design and supervise the construction and installation of a granite plinth and the work in its current location at the Esplanade train station in Perth.

Liaising with the artist, PTA (Public Transport Authority) and the City of Perth a design and installation process was devised that best fit the tight time-frame and traffic management restrictions of this project.

During the development of Elizabeth Quay, this work was moved with the oversight and assistance of the AS Perth team.

We have also provided detailed, cleaning and restoration repairs in addition to replacing the damaged plaque on this work.
