Escape Exhibition
Escape! Fremantle to Freedom Exhibition
This large and extensive exhibition from Fremantle Prison was developed over 2 years and toured Australia from 2007.
Curated by Sandra Murray, this exhibition tells the story of the Irish Fenian convicts and their escape from Western Australia to America on the US whaler Catalpa in 1876.
This exhibition was specifically designed for touring with over 300 objects and paintings, including a replica whaling skiff. All elements could be flat packed, crated, transported and reassembled in different venues.
Our team was instrumental in the provision of services for the exhibition design, fabrication and installation. Including the design and installation management of the exhibition as it toured around Australia.
